(Stillwater,OK) You just knew that Oklahoma was in serious trouble after having quarterback Landry Jones knocked out of the game after only one play. Oklahoma's offense was not at all clicking. Oklahoma State had their star running back, Kendall Hunter, hurt early in the game as well making it two straight weeks Hunter has been carted off the field. With this win, they are in the Big 12 title game with the opportunity to play for a national title which both would be the first in school history. "We are taking this a day at a time. Studying film. Practicing. Hitting the weights. Running. Conditioning. You better believe our team will be ready," Coach Jenkins exclaims. Next game: Big 12 Title game against the Missouri Tigers.

(Chicago,IL) The Bulls were all over the Thunder from tip off. The stat of the game was the 22 turnovers by the Thunder. The Thunder did crush the Bulls on the glass, +14. Westbrook and Durant put their normal point totals in the mix, but Jenkins play awful. There was a miscommunication and Jenkins had four fouls early in the second quarter. He sat and lost a lot of minutes. Jenkins went 9-27, one of his worst performances in his early career. A big play late in the game had D-Rose with the ball and Jimmy Butler setting a screen. Jenkins didn't hedge and help and Rose buried an open three with less than two minutes left. "I did very little to help my team win. I am embarrassed. I took bad shots, bad angles on defense, I just couldn't do anything right," Jenkins shared. It will be interesting to see how the Thunder bounce back.

(Stillwater,OK) Awful news came out just before the kickoff between the Baylor Bears and #4 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Robert Griffin III (RG3) would not be competing today due to a separated shoulder. With RG3 out, Brandon Weeden took the stage and broke the OSU season touchdown pass record. Cowboys were down 10-7 going into the 2nd quarter, but then Justin Blackmon took over and had four touchdown grabs in the quarter alone. "I told Brandon, these corners are trying to play tight coverage and I can get by them as soon as they try and jab me. I blew by a couple guys making them look silly," Blackmon told reporters.
With a convincing 52-13 win today, the Cowboys travel to Austin against the #15 Longhorns who was ranked as high as #1. They lost two games decided by less than a touchdown each, Nebraska by 2 (16-14) and K-State (20-14) both were on the road.

(Manhattan,KS) The score does not indicate how close this game really was. Daniel Thomas had success running the ball all over the Cowboys' defense. Carson Coffman was making exceptional throws and hitting receivers in the right spot where the defense couldn't make a play. The Wildcats' offense kept them in the game, but the defense was horrendous. Oklahoma State was 4 for 4 on third down and gave up over 500 yards of offense.
"We made some critical changes late in the first half and into the second half. Most of the adjustments were on the defensive side of the ball with Thomas and Coffman. We had to defend them better," Coach Jenkins tells ESPN reporter Erin Andrews. Next week will be against Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears. Hopefully they have a gameplan to stop him otherwise he's going to torch this Cowboys' defense.

The Cowboys are in good shape becoming bowl eligible, but still have to face Texas and Oklahoma. What seems a bit strange, there are reports that Coach Jenkins is having a tough time keeping players focused and not think about Kansas. "We can't stand the chickenhawks. They may be aight in basketball, but we are about to own them in a man's game," sophomore receiver Justin Blackmon told ESPN.

(Stillwater, OK) Nebraska. Oklahoma State. Undefeated Big 12 North vs. Undefeated Big 12 South. The game started ugly as both teams scored touchdowns off fumbles. The play that seemed to shift the game in Oklahoma State’s favor was a third and long with their second possession. Brandon Weeden threw a bomb to Justin Blackmon, throwing the Stillwater crowd in chaos and taking the lead 14-7. After the Cowboys took back the lead, they never looked back and never at any point in the game did it feel that Nebraska would win. The OSU defense laid out several Nebraska offensive players. “We wanted to be physical on both defense and offense,” Coach Von Jenkins told reporters. Senior running back, Kendall Hunter completely tore up the Husker defense to the tune of 291 yards off 27 carries. “Their (Nebraska) defense helped me to get the yards. The safeties were taking terrible angles on me and I spun or juked on them and took it to the house,” Kendall Hunter said. “This is a tremendous win for our program not to mention the fact I cannot stand (Bo) Pelini. You better believe we are rivals. Enemies would be a generous description,” Coach Jenkins tells his players in the locker room. The major stat of the game, which has been the past several weeks, is the time of possession. The Cowboys are dominating in this category. It isn’t even close. They are doing everything they can to keep the ball out of the opposing offense’s hands.

(Lubbock,TX) If Taylor Potts thought he had a chance at the Heisman, that idea has been eliminated. Potts did not step up and play like the veteran senior quarterback he was giving the Cowboys defense two pick sixes. "We saw that Potts favored certain players and would prefer to throw specific routes," Coach Von Jenkins in postgame conference. Justin Blackmon was a beast with three touchdown grabs with the defense draped all over him.

(Houston,TX) The absence of Case Keenum showed the extreme value he possesses with the Cougars. As well as David Piland played today, David looked dazed and confused. He seemed overwhelmed by the pressure letting a few passes sail passed the receiver's head. The stat of the game has to be the 90% (9-10) on third down by Oklahoma State.

(Stillwater,OK) Coming into Saturday's game, Coach Jenkins knew his Cowboys would have their hands full with the Aggies no-huddle offense. "Our gameplan was to run the ball and suck up as much time off the clock as we could. I wanted to have our defensive guys as rested as they could be when they had to be on the field," Coach Jenkins following the win against the Aggies. It was an absolute hard fought game. The Aggies moved the ball quite well on the Cowboys defense but stalled at times and turned the ball over three times killing good drives. "I didn't play all that great, but we got the win and nothing else matters," quarterback Brandon Weeden told reporters.

Teams have already been unfortunate with injuries including three schools losing their starting quarterback: Clemson, FIU and Utah. There is not a major drop off with the backup quarterbacks at FIU or Utah, but in Clemson it falls into the hands of Tajh Boyd, an unproven redshirt freshman. It will be interesting to see what adjustments these three coaches will make.
